Your manuscript, title, content, publishing rights, royalties, publishing accounts, and associated project intellectual property are intended to remain with you in accordance with your signed service agreement. American Best Publishers does not take a royalty, commission, residual, or percentage of your future book earnings.
09 BEFORE YOU PUBLISH
Questions authors usually want answered before the release begins.
Is this traditional publishing or self-publishing?
This is supported self-publishing. American Best Publishers provides professional publishing services around your manuscript, but the book is not being acquired by a traditional publishing house. The author retains ownership and publishing control in accordance with the service agreement.
Can you publish eBook, paperback, and hardcover editions?
Yes, where supported by the selected platforms and package. Each format is prepared around its own production requirements rather than using one file for every edition.
Do you take a percentage of my royalties?
No. American Best Publishers does not take a royalty, commission, residual, or percentage of future earnings generated by the book under the publishing service agreement.
How will I get paid after publishing with you?
We help configure your author-owned publishing accounts, retailer payout details, and website sales pathways where applicable, so platform earnings can be paid directly to the bank or payout account you connect. Our team also guides you through the dashboards, payout settings, sales reports, and basic account operation so you know how to manage everything after launch.
How long does the publishing process usually take?
Most publishing projects are typically completed within 30–45 business days after the required materials, information, and approvals have been received. If you are working toward a specific deadline, tell us before the project begins and we can discuss an accelerated timeline where the scope and platform review requirements allow it. External platform approval times can still vary.
Can I pause the project if I need more time?
Yes. The publishing agreement is structured to allow reasonable pause and resume flexibility around the author’s schedule while keeping the team informed and the project organized.
